Getting ready for an interview

Our generation is faced with an economic crises. So, when you find out that any job wants to interview you, you gotta look your best. Today we are going to show you how to wear the best business attire without spending more than fifteen dollars.  First off the truth is you have to dress for the job you want. It will give the employer a sense that you are responsible and also you take your imagine seriously. You want to focus on all aspects hair, makeup, nails ,clothes , and shoes.

    First hair:
If you are a short hair woman make sure you hair is neat and style. Which, lucky for you girls your hair shouldn’t take much time. I have posted some pictures and Ideas of what is acceptable. But, also a cute way to rock your style while keeping it professional.

Now for long hair women you are more open open to different options. But, also you will have to worry about a style the won’t get messy. I recommend not having your hair down , as a person who worked in banking for many years. I hated having my hair in my face. Plus not to mention the amount of times I had to refresh my hair up. You want to walk into interview not worrying about your hair more important matters are at hand. I would recommend pulling your hair back into a pony tail or a bun. Below are some examples that are stylish and professional.

Second Make up:
Now, women you have to make sure your makeup is in check. I love loud colors and of, course I’m not shy with the eyeliner. But, when it comes to your makeup, you don’t want to the interview to be distracted by the large amounts of make up on your face. I would recommend soft colors giving you a more rested look. The trick is to find a vibrant look not an overpowering look.

Third Nails:
For women with long nails, make sure your nails are cut and file down to an acceptable length. Too long of nails can get in the way, so keep your nails cute and tamed. Also be careful of the colors you paint your nails. Again you don’t want to walk in with bright busy nails. I would recommend soft colors or a french tip. Ladies who have short nails or who are nail bitters. Throwing a little nail polish will go a long way… For you I would recommend a soft pink which gives an effect that you have more nails than you actually do. Also your nails look like they have been taken care of .

Fourth Clothes:
Now this is the most important. This can make you or break you in an interview.  First off go into your closet and see what you have. You may be able save yourself money with out spending a dime. Look for a dress shirt and black slacks. If you don’t have any don’t worry. I was able to go to my local thrift store and for a total of $10.04. I was able to get a dress shirt, black slacks, and a cute pair of flats.  I got it all at a great price and of course I will have a great interview outfit for a while.  Make sure you clothes are clean and press nothing gives off a bad impression for you then looking wrinkle and slapped together. Also make sure your clothes fit your body. You want to embrace your body no matter the shape.

   Finally Shoes:
I would start off and  recommend a close heel. Many companies lately have started to change there policy on open toe shoes. So beat them to the punch by rocking a close toe.  You also have many choices. You can rock a high heel, or a slight heel, or even a cute flat. Just make sure your shoes are shined and of course Match your outfit.

Remember girls dressing for the job you want doesn’t have to cost a high price. You can do while barely breaking your penny bank.  Hopefully today you have a little more insight on what to wear to an interview. So you can focus on more important things like your resume and what your going to say.

Thanksgiving let’s look good shall we?

Thanksgiving is around the corner and, for most of us it means spending time with love ones. Some people have the stress of traveling and some have the stress of cooking. Whatever, it may be what you’re going to wear shouldn’t be a stress. If you’re in a relationship visiting or having your significant others family as company is important and it doesn’t hurt to dress to impress.  If your single I don’t think it would hurt to look nice around your love ones this Thanksgiving.  I am going to share my knowledge on some do’s and don’t s ideas to make this one holiday that you will look great and spend barely any money in the process.

DONT’S

  1. Do not wear uncomfortable clothing or shoes.

Let’s face it you are most likely going to a home setting. So it is really useless to dress up and be uncomfortable in the process. Try to stay away from fancy tops and heels. You want something that you can move around in and feels cozy.

2. Don’t over theme your clothing

Yes it is nice to match the holiday and be cute in the process. But there is a thin line that many can cross.  Pretty much if you can imagine an eighty year old woman wear it. Well it’s not a good idea.

3.Bright fabrics may not be the best choice

You don’t want to be a sore thumb. Yes it is important to stand out but going a more tasteful way may be the better option. Try to stay away from shimmer clothing or metallic clothing. It’s not the club it’s thanksgiving folks…

Do’s

1. Comfy equals cute

Make comfy look cute. How about this year try wearing a nice cotton top, with a nice pant bottom, and finish the look off with a cute flat shoe. I went to my local thrift store and bought these items under 20 dollars. So not only can you look cute, but barely any money out your pocket.

2. A little theme

Throwing some festive earrings or adding a nice pin on your clothing is nice and not over bearing.  You can dress up your outfit a little more with a slight hint of the theme into your clothing.

3. Cool Colors

Playing with cool colors such as brown, green, red, and orange can give off enough of a statement can say a lt with barely any effort.  It’s all ways great to mirror fall into your clothes During the Thanks giving holiday.

Well folks that’s all I have for  today catch us next Sunday for another post. Have a very Plain Jane day!!!!!!!!
